From 4.-11.8.2018, the Elite World Orienteering Championships (WOC) took place in the regions around Riga and Sigulda in Latvia.
A main goal for the organisers from the Latvian Orienteering Federation (LOF) was to prove that the high level required for result processing and live reporting can be achieved for much less money than other WOCs needed during the past 15-20 years. This year it was the first time that the SportSoftware applications OE2010 and OS2010 were used exclusively for the Elite WOC, after many years seeing the organisers using other very expensive, always new-developed solutions (mostly accompanied by the SportSoftware as a reliable backup system). By the way, for all other IOF championships like WMOC, JWOC, EYOC, the SportSoftware has already been a defacto standard for many years.
The SportSoftware includes nearly all features which are necessary for managing and publishing radio and finish times which can be displayed live in the internet and on TV. For the WOC in Latvia, I implemented a special new time taking function which allows to send the official finish times to the TV system automatically. The handling of the existing time taking solution has been improved for the requirements of WOC.
This feature will be included in the new OE12 V.12.0.
OE2010
OE12 V.11.95 Prerelease Version available
Now it becomes true! OE12 is available! It is completely free for OE2010 V11 users!
Why is it called OE12 V.11.95?
OE12 V.11.95 is the pure port of OE2010 V.11.0 to the new V12 framework and the new V12 user interface (UI). All functions, algorithms and data structures are identical to OE2010 V11.0. OE12 V.11.95 includes all functions which you need for an ordinary individual competition without speakers and special time taking. You can use it concurrently together with OE2010 on the same data. It still has no new V12 functions, only the new UI. That’s why it is called V.11.95.
What means Prerelease Version?
Prerelease means before the official release. The official release will be called OE12 V.12.0. All new feature wishes and all improvement wishes (and this has become a long list…) from you will be implemented there.

Click on the Downloads button at the right and download the OE12 setup! Install it, insert your OE2010 serial number and just begin to work! I will be happy to receive your feedback about the new UI!

Use the Check for updates function in OS2010 to download and install the new Spanish help file and the additional PDF handbook. Then reselect the Spanish language to get it working.
